About

Welcome to Food Life Well! I am Angela Walker an experienced Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (BANT, CNHC) and Certified Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) Coach. My special interests include gut issues such as SIBO and IBS, fatigue including CFS, brain fog, food intolerances such as histamine and salicylates, mould illnesses, MCAS, itchy skin, pain, autoimmunity, trauma, stress, disordered eating, and of course the many aspects of brain function. These interests stem from personal experiences of managing my own health challenges over the years, including histamine, salicylate & oxalate intolerances, the effects of mould exposures, mast cell activation, IBS, disordered eating and food addiction, PTSD, chemo-brain, mental fatigue and my family history of autoimmunity. I have deep, practical knowledge of therapeutic foods, dietary approaches & lifestyle, with a focus on seasonal, organic & local wholefoods and a natural & low-toxin existence.

I am committed to scientific evidence based practice using the functional medicine model, which embraces the body’s interconnected systems and seeks to address underlying imbalances in the pursuit of health. I continually refresh and renew my technical knowledge, clinical practices and NLP techniques, including Functional Medicine modules and Clinical Mastership with the Kharrazian Institute and Mold Literacy with Dr Jill Crista.

Originating from a Derbyshire dairy farming family, I started out as an Animal Nutritionist, before a long career in manufacturing and business systems implementation. I therefore appreciate how extensive travel, eating-out, work pressures and long hours can affect home-life & health.

In my spare time I can be found walking Bear (my rescue dog) on countryside footpaths or the beach. We also enjoy exploring and camping-out in our small van. Bear loves racing at top speed, chasing her tail and eating delicious raw food.
